16th August 2006 Mt. Biking: Woburn Sands Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Haven't had time for much FON sports this months work getting in the way and been fishing quite a bit too and Al says Im not allowed to enter them :P An evening out with a few of the mountian bike club members no been out for a few weeks so really felt it. Some of the steeper trails had changed quite abit with all the heavy rain we have had lots of ruts and channels to loose a wheel in. One of the people I was out with was using SPDs for the first time so the rest of us had to have a sweep for the amount on times he fell off! I thought I was being nice saying he would only fall off 3 times as it happens the 3rd fall he twisted his ankle so retired for the night so I guess I won by default. No falls for me today just a couple of near misses. Im still trying to get it into my head "I love riding up hill" but It just doesn't work down hill is still more fun although I enjoy some of the steep technical ups, the ones with more tech up than lung busting up. I think I need to win the lottery so I can give up work have time to do everything and still have money for lots of toys |
